Who we are

Guardfill is a Shopify app that helps merchants manage and display EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) information for their products. Contact: guardfill.app@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Your store domain and an encrypted Shopify access token, to operate the app.
• Compliance contacts you enter (manufacturer, EU responsible person, importer).
• Product safety information you create or generate (warnings, instructions, traceability).
• Counts of AI actions used, to enforce plan limits.

What we do NOT collect

Guardfill does not collect or store any personal data about your customers (shoppers). We do not access customer names, addresses, orders, or contact details.

Subprocessors

• Anthropic — AI drafting and translation of product safety text.
• Supabase — encrypted database hosting.
• Vercel — application hosting.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is retained while the app is installed. When you uninstall, Shopify sends a redaction request (typically ~48 hours later) and we permanently delete all data associated with your store. You may also request deletion at any time by emailing guardfill.app@gmail.com.

One exception, for abuse prevention: to stop the one-time free trial from being reset by reinstalling, we retain a pseudonymous record after uninstall — a one-way hash of your store domain and a count of free-trial AI actions used. It contains no product data, no contacts, and no customer information.
